As an artist, it is in my nature to be in love with Anime and all things related to it (i.e. Manga, etc). I have decided to make a feature of the list of Anime shows that I have loved since I can remember. Also, these Anime shows are not ranked, just listed.
1. Fushigi Yuugi (The Mysterious Play)
- When I was in the fifth grade, I religiously watched this show daily right after I got home from school in Animax. To summarize, it is a somewhat historical story wherein two middle school girls gets absorbed into the world of a book. In the book, the two girls became priestesses of rival clans and become rivals themselves for the love of Suzaku warrior, Tamahome. Though the real reason why I stuck with this show was because of Chichiri, also a Suzaku warrior who conceals his scarred face with a mask. And after all these years, I cannot provide a good reason why I liked him even if he's the least good-looking, appealing, powerful and apparently the oldest by age. Watch the show and maybe you could provide a reason for me.

2. Fate/Stay Night
- Originally a computer game, it was eventually developed by Type-Moon to become an Anime show. Because of its computer game nature, there are different routes as to how the game should progress thus resulting to multiple sequels for the anime show (i.e. Unlimited Blade Works). I've started watching this show when I was in my late 5th grade in Animax. What amazes me of Anime series is how it can be of various genres, and action-fantasy as one of them. Unlike the other Fate series, this series is less bloody and more drama which I think made it more appealing to the audience. It narrates of how an amateur magician, Shiro Emiya, interrrupts the summoning of Rin Tohsaka, an established magician, to summon the highest rank servant, Saber, as another Holy Grail War dawns. Shiro's father had failed in his attempt to destroy the grail in the previous grail war thus resulting to a destruction of the grail battleground, Fuyuki City. My favorite character in this series is Rin Tohsaka.

3. Honey and Clover (Hachimitsu to Kuroba)
- This anime series is a lot different from the aforementioned two as it is centered more on reality and everyday-life of the characters. This became part of my list because of the subtle forms of its animation, I don't know but I find it soothing to the eyes. I think this is tagged under the Shoujo category. The story develops to uncover personal character issues, love triangles, unrequited love, success in life and among others. My favorite character in this series is Ayumi Hamada.

4. Flame of Recca (Rekka no Hono)
- I was probably in my toddler years when this Anime show aired on television but the story and animation is just ageless. Another fantasy in genre and revolved around Recca's discovery and condition of his power of manipulating flames. It has a somewhat historical nature, mostly center on the Hokage ninjas (which is also present in Naruto). My favorite character in the series is Tokiya Mikagami.

5. Sword Art Online
- A recent anime show which I came to love with the genre of action-fantasy. The plot is situated in the future where electronic gaming was at its peak using simulators where you can use all five of your senses through a helmet commonly known as the Nerve Gear. Sword Art Online, commonly abbreviated as SAO, is created by Kayaba Akihiko, who in the later part of the first episode becomes the main antagonist of the story. Meanwhile, Kirito - codename of beta tester Kirigaya Kazuto - after two years of living in the game, has finally beaten the game when he outmatched Kayaba in a duel, yet the game doesn't end there when the female protagonist does not return to the real world but has gotten transferred into another game, ALfheim Online. For less spoilers, I'm ending it here.

Inasmuch as I would like to post more (because there are a lot more in my bucketlist) but I can't due to time constraints. I'll stop here and make another Anime feature in the future. xx
