Steve Carell is back again for the sequel of Despicable Me not as a villain but now part of the Anti-Villain League to battle evil. Enough of Gru, let's talk about those cuddly banana-loving three-fingered, yellow minions in denim jumpers and goggles!
If my memory does not fail me, it was two years ago since I have first encountered the first Despicable Me 2 trailer showcasing four minions singing a song in which the only words I can understand are banana and potato because apparently, these are the only words they can say (-_-")
I was so excited that two days after the premier, I had to watch it even if I was tired from our retreat with little amount of sleep the night prior my movie date with classmates. But no hassle, I laughed and laughed and laughed with the story line and the antics of the characters.
My favorite part was when Lucy introduced Gru to the head of the AVL who unfortunately had 'Bottom' for a last name leading for the two minions to attack his last name with giggles and left me distracted for the whole scene because the two were bickering while Gru negotiates. Just cute.
Out of 5, I'm giving this a 5 for a job well done. For an animated movie, I loved it, next to Pixar's movies. Come to think of it I haven't watched Monsters University yet, oh well. I'll just wait for the DVD to come out. For more information check out their website: www.despicableme.com
