It's good to finally find a series that is centered on my favorite band of unified men to accomplish a certain goal formed at the peak of the Crusades - The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon or most common to us as the Templars.
Starting with Lieutenant Colonel John 'Doc' Holliday giving a lecture about the Knights Templars to his class at West Point, a military academy where he also graduated then served in wars but had to be called back in due to an accident in Afghanistan claiming one of his eyes.
In an unexpected turn of events, his uncle, Henry Granger, a university professor who housed a great secret for several decades along a few other learned men, has passed away. It's now up to Doc and Peggy, his niece, to be responsible with their late uncle's belongings, and uncannily, an antique artefact, a sword that was retrieve from Hitler's summer house in Bavaria named the Berghof.
Doc and Peggy are now racing around the world to find the real worth of the sword and it's significance as to why many are interested in it, not companies or museums but individuals who think they are the rightful owners of the sharp blade.
I'm giving this only a 3.5 out of 5 because of two reasons. First, there was no resolution as to the true motives of Broadbent, the lawyer of Henry Granger who is in charge of transferring his assets to Doc and Peggy, with regards to the sword and why he wanted it badly.
Second is to the monk whom they met at a vineyard who knew a lot about the things they needed. My questions may be answered in the next books in the series but as for the moment I am sticking with my given rating.
