Harry Potter - one of the few series I really understood by heart and gave me something that's more than just leisure. Having finished the book almost four years ago, I decided to share the magic with my little sister, who is now ten years of age.
Currently, we are on the seventh chapter entitled 'The Sorting Hat'. I am looking forward to more scenes and dialogues for her to laugh from. So far, she has laughed from the antics and dialogues of Fred, George, Ron and Neville, especially the part where George told Ginny he'd send her toilet earning him a disapproving yell from Mrs. Weasley as the Hogwarts Express was about to take off.
My sister's never been a bookworm, and gets distracted easily when reading silently. So I make her read it out loud while sometimes, I do homework and study beside her. Other times I follow through with my eyes, and sometimes I take the reins and read to her.
We're only on our third day and I can see that she's enjoying much from this new bonding we have. My only wish is we could continue doing this until we finish the whole series.
